• Christ reassures us in this image of the ascension.
I Am With You_3124.tif
• This display in Culpepper, VA is part of the Virginia Is For Lovers campaign. The treatment is a bit whimsical. I was trying to render it the way the Beatles might have as part of an animated video to All You Need Is Love

• A passage from one of my favorite hymns.
I Will Give You Rest_3148.tif
• One of the best known views in Boston, the sign in Kenmore Square. I've done several treatments on this in both color and black and white. I hope you find one you like.

• When you first walk past this statue of Oscar Wilde you do a double take because it looks that real! Merrion Square Park, Dublin, Ireland

• While not the tallest cliffs in Ireland, the Cliffs of Moher in County Clare are truly magnificent. We visited them on a serious bad weather day. You can see how rough the seas are at the base. While we were visiting, we got hit by lots of rain and very strong winds. The clouds here give you an idea of conditions that day.

• This is an entrance to the New York City subways. It is located at 183 Street and Fort Washington Avenue. I don't know of many entrances that are built like this. If you use this entrance you can do like the song says and "take the A train"
Subway Entrance_6824.tif
• This image was shot in the first (blue) light of day. I was struck by the warmth of the statue, the open welcoming arms, contrasted to the cold of the snow. It almost appears that her right hand is pointing to the bench, inviting you to come and visit with her. You can see a couple of trees in the background forming a crude cross in the background.

• You never know what you'll find on a New York street. Here were a couple of empty pizza boxes along with some abandoned clothing.

• This is a natural rock sticking out from a hillside on the way down to the Giants Causeway in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. To me this rock looks like a Chinese lion's head. Can you see it?

• Brent McCoy (Brent McCoy.com) performing outside Faneuil Hall in Boston. Notice the two "assistants" on either side of him steadying the ball he is standing on. Pay particular attention to their "headgear"! The little girl handing him the wrench is another volunteer. Brent is very talented, but the little girl made the show!
You can see this image on Brian's home page!

• Two of the QuickCheck balloons coming in for a landing. It is amazing the amount of skill and effort it takes to fly these. You can see one of the support vehicles waiting for the ballons to land.

• This little rock pile is just across from the base of the Cliffs of Moher in County Clare, Ireland. When we were there, the winds were howling. You can see how rough the seas were. This little rock pile caught my interest as it resisted all that wind.

• The Burren in County Clare, Ireland is an incredible place. Everywhere there are rocks and outcroppings. It is a marvel of nature. You can see a typical (aka narrow and very windy) road in the foreground and the rocky landscape rising in the distance. We were there on an overcast and rainy day so the sky was kind enough to add some drama.

• Dunsvereck Castle must have commanded quite the position. Here you can see all that is left of it. It must have been very imposing. Just to the left is the Giants' Causeway.

• I was fortunate to capture the perfect morning light at low tide on Cape Ann in Gloucester, MA. I've taken certain liberties in the post processing to get the most out of this shot and have several presentations available.

In each, you can see the rocky shore made visible by the receding tide as well as the beautiful sky casting its glow over the shore and houses.

• Another constant in New York is contraction. There must be some very major construction going on for this much overhead. I'm thrilled at the way the lights lead you through the tunnel to the couple with the stroller.

• Take a good look. What images do you see in this tree? Omega Institute, Rhinebeck, NY

• The color version of the image presents very differently. You can see that it was a bright clear day so the water is nicely blue with small patches of ice.

• One of the great things about walking around Savannah is that you never know what is around the next corner. We came across a group of vintage police cars on display in front of a police station.

• The surf is pounding against the rocky shore in Doolan, County Clare, Ireland. The weather was especially rough that day. You can see how choppy the water is hand how high the waves are pounding against the shore. This is a stylized version of the image.

• As the closing to Brent McCoy's performance (BrentMcCoy.com) he told his young volunteer assistant that if she could catch the dollar bills as he released them, she could keep them. The trick is such that it is almost impossible to catch them, but he let her keep them anyway. You can see how she felt about "her pay"

• One of the many snack vendors around Faneuil Hall in Boston. To me the fun thing about doing this in black and white is that if you ignore the prices, this could have been taken at almost any time in the last fifty or more years!

• Four people clearly enjoying themselves in the basket. I'm not sure how far they went or how high. Someday maybe I'll be able to do that!

I've done this image in both color and black and white. The differences are remarkable. My family and friends are evenly divided as to which they prefer. Which do you like better?

• A longer view of the north bound waiting room at the now abandoned Belle Mead station. You can see a circular fireplace on the floor along with all the decay and graffiti. Some of the graffiti uses very harsh language, but to me that fits with the rest of the image

• Classic New York, playing basketball on a hoop without nets. I was walking by when I saw a few kids playing and got this shot. I'll leave it up to you, did it go in?

• We spent several days on Cape Ann in Gloucester, MA. Our motel was on the beach making these sunrise shots very accessible. This gull is just standing, enjoying the start of a beautiful day. This shot has some wonderful golden highlights as well as an interesting reflection in the water. The bird appears to be looking at you.

• A reflection of the clouds and setting sun on the water in Red Bank, NJ. I was out shooting for golden light and thought that the reflection was a better image than the cloud themselves. How many horses can you find?

• This orchid doesn't bloom for long. Can you see the face too? I did do some minor post processing of the image, but I didn't add the face.

• I was very fortunate, on a beautiful spring day in New York, I happened to turn around and saw this couple walking arm in arm. It is one of my favorite images. This couple has clearly been together for a long time. If you look closely, they are even walking in step!

• Evening is falling over the Loyola Jesuit Center in Morristown, NJ. The lights in the garden have just come on to illuminate this statue of Christ The King. You can see just a hint of the ground lights in the bottom corner as they cast eerie lights and shadows across the statue.
ChristTheKing_1635.tif
• This is one of my all time favorite scenes. You can find a number of shots from different angles and times of year. The late day lighting helped to bring out both color and definition in the autumn foliage.
LateFallDayAtDukeFarms_1064.tif
• This angle gives you an idea of how fast their wings move. They are only a blur as she hovers in front of the feeder.
Female Ruby Throated Hummingbird 7_8...tif
• I just like the feel of these three trees standing together. They form a stark contrast to a mostly grey sky. You can see a peek of sun in the top left.

• The sun is setting and the skiers have all left Duke Farms, Hillsborough, NJ. I love how the the two sets of ski tracks lead you off int what looks like forever. The setting sun creates a beautiful golden glow in the background while the fading light of day creates wonderful shadows and effect in the foreground.

• In this section of the Hay Barn at Duke Farms, Hillsborough, NJ, the setting sun creates some beautiful shadows on the wall. To me there is also a series of overlapping faces in the wall. Take a close look if you don't see it right away.
