    Tufted Titmouse in a Snowstorm_2582.tif
  • It still looks cold out as she keeps huddling into her down. It also looks like she's plotting something devious!

  • This was the last berry hanging on a tree. It was a cold winter's day so I was surprised to see it still there.
    The Last Berry_3006.tif
  • This image was shot in the first (blue) light of day. I was struck by the warmth of the statue, the open welcoming arms, contrasted to the cold of the snow. It almost appears that her right hand is pointing to the bench, inviting you to come and visit with her. You can see a couple of trees in the background forming a crude cross in the background.
    NotreDameDeLaNeige_1670.tif
  • It must be getting cold out as she seems to be huddling to keep warm during this snow storm.
Female Cardinal During A Snowstorm 2...tif

Female House Finch in a Snow Storm 4...tif
  • I was shooting in the early morning at the Loyola Jesuit Center in Morristown, NJ when I turned around and there was the cat. Obviously, it is not live. I was amused by its position on the bench, the two different colored eyes and the setting in the snow.

    Snow Covered Path_0662.tif
  • The meal is about done, just a few fragments hanging from her beak. She'll probably be back for more in a moment. Don't think she cares about the snow.

  • What a profile! his feathers are up and he seems to have a little smile.
Tufted Titmouse in a Snowstorm 9_265...tif
  • The light changed a bit and now you can really see all his colors. Is that a bit of a pleading look?
Tufted Titmouse in a Snowstorm 6_265...tif
  • The colors on these birds lend themselves very well to black and white. I get a chill looking at them this way.
    Tufted Titmouse in a Snowstorm_2655.tif
  • This little guy looks like he's having a good time in the snow!
Tufted Titmouse in a Snowstorm 4_262...tif
  • One of the many features at the Loyola Jesuit Center in Morristown, NJ is the outdoor stations of the cross. This is the first station, seen from the back of the house. I love the setting for all the stations nicely placed among the trees and wildlife. In this shot, the open gates strike me as an invitation.
    FirstStation_1680-1.tif
  • She still has that snowflake, but now she's getting serious!
Female House Finch in a Snow Storm 5...tif
  • The wind let up a bit, it got a bit brighter, but here he is. Maybe he likes the snowflakes that settle on his feathers.
Tufted Titmouse in a Snowstorm 3_258...tif
  • The morning after a storm, I went out on the deck and was pleased to see some terrific scenes. This shot was taken in the early morning light, just before the sun really emerged. I think the tree in the foreground masks the shed enough to create some mystery. I've intentionally rendered this image softly to create a more dream like impression.
    ShedInTheSnow_1618-1u.tif
  • And now in profile, he's all puffed and his feathers keep the snow from bothering him.
White Throated Sparrow in the Snow 2...tif
  • He's just sitting there, not a care in the world. I love the Bride of Frankenstein look on the head!

Tufted Titmouse in a Snowstorm 2_265...tif
