  • This is an entrance to the New York City subways.  It is located at 183 Street and Fort Washington Avenue.  I don't know of many entrances that are built like this.  If you use this entrance you can do like the song says and "take the A train"

  • Another constant in New York is contraction.  There must be some very major construction going on for this much overhead.  I'm thrilled at the way the lights lead you through the tunnel to the couple with the stroller.

  • I was visiting my mom in Manhattan and by luck, there was a motion picture shoot going on down the street.  All of the vehicles in the picture are there for the shoot!  The intersection in the center of the image is about three city blocks from where I was standing.  That's where the action would eventually be.

  • Not quite a stairway to heaven.  Climb these stairs to get to the highest point in Manhattan in Fort Tryon Park.  This park is filled with history.  You can see one of the plaques on the wall tot he right.

  • New York City recently did some major renovations at Bennett Park in upper Manhattan.  I played in this park as a child.  One of the things that changed was the addition of this cannon.  I'm not sure how the people across the street from the park feel about it!

  • I was very fortunate, on a beautiful spring day in New York, I happened to turn around and saw this couple walking arm in arm. It is one of my favorite images. This couple has clearly been together for a long time. If you look closely, they are even walking in step!

  • Ft Tryon Park is one of those treasures that many people don't know about.  It has wonderful views of the Hudson River as well as the Cloisters.  These benches sit in a secluded little area providing a beautiful view of the river and the Palisades.

  • We're still not sure why the city of New York included this cannon when they renovated Bennett Park in upper Manhattan.  I was very amused to capture not only the cannon, but the man and boy facing opposite directions while wearing matching yellow shirts.
