  • There's an interesting restaurant on this side of 187 street. The various barrels are used to frame its doorway. I thought they made an interesting statement by themselves.

  • We were very amused by this sign in Dublin Ireland. The sign was not displayed on Fleet Street.

  • My how they've changed the crossing signs over the years. I was especially struck by the image of a person going one way and the animals in the window going the other

  • Another street performer outside Faneuil Hall in Boston. In this case Brent McCoy (BrentMcCoy.com) was performing and asked for a young assistant from the audience. This little girl was perfect! Here you can see her trying to catch a ball in his hard hat.

  • You never know what you'll find on a New York street. Here were a couple of empty pizza boxes along with some abandoned clothing.

  • Along Boston's Newbury Street. This gentleman is sweeping the steps up to his hat store. I thought that the hat boxes along the stairs make a very interesting accent in letting people know where the stairs lead. Of course, he is demonstrating his product the whole time with his bright red chapeau!

  • As the closing to Brent McCoy's performance (BrentMcCoy.com) he told his young volunteer assistant that if she could catch the dollar bills as he released them, she could keep them. The trick is such that it is almost impossible to catch them, but he let her keep them anyway. You can see how she felt about "her pay"

  • The clothes and cars may have changed, but kids have been running along this street for a ing time. There's always an adult overseeing them, trying to keep them all in sight.

  • A small side road in Dublin Ireland. A wonderful mix of the more traditional with the modern.

  • A typical alley in Dublin. This scene is a wonderful display of the old and new existing side by side

  • Cabrini Boulevard is a very quiet street facing the Hudson River in upper Manhattan. It was a very bright afternoon, but I decided to go for this shot anyway. I'm quite pleased with the result. Oh I did get out of the street before the car got to me!

  • As the song goes...In Dublin fair city, where the girls are so pretty, there lives a young lady named Molly Malone. This statue just sits on a street corner. The leprechaun and lad playing the pipes were fortunate additions. I wonder if she actually peddled her cockles and mussels on that street?

  • I was visiting my mom in Manhattan and by luck, there was a motion picture shoot going on down the street. All of the vehicles in the picture are there for the shoot! The intersection in the center of the image is about three city blocks from where I was standing. That's where the action would eventually be.

  • I got a big kick out of how these two were positioned. The fellow with the newspaper is bronze, not a street performer.

  • One of the things I love shooting is interesting people. This gentleman was just walking down the street and fit the character of the neighborhood on Arthur Avenue, the Bronx, NY, so perfectly.

  • New York City recently did some major renovations at Bennett Park in upper Manhattan. I played in this park as a child. One of the things that changed was the addition of this cannon. I'm not sure how the people across the street from the park feel about it!

  • This is an entrance to the New York City subways. It is located at 183 Street and Fort Washington Avenue. I don't know of many entrances that are built like this. If you use this entrance you can do like the song says and "take the A train"

  • We were walking down one of the pretty streets in Stone Creek, CT when we came upon this rooster in somebody's garden.
