  • Looking up at the front of the Loyola Jesuit Center in Morristown, NJ. The house is a hundred years old and was donated to the Jesuits shortly after completion. On this winter morning, the snow and overcast help make the red brick stand out.

  • I was shooting in the early morning at the Loyola Jesuit Center in Morristown, NJ when I turned around and there was the cat. Obviously, it is not live. I was amused by its position on the bench, the two different colored eyes and the setting in the snow.

  • One of the many features at the Loyola Jesuit Center in Morristown, NJ is the outdoor stations of the cross. This is the first station, seen from the back of the house. I love the setting for all the stations nicely placed among the trees and wildlife. In this shot, the open gates strike me as an invitation.

  • This image was shot in the first (blue) light of day. I was struck by the warmth of the statue, the open welcoming arms, contrasted to the cold of the snow. It almost appears that her right hand is pointing to the bench, inviting you to come and visit with her. You can see a couple of trees in the background forming a crude cross in the background.
